ASTO | Implementação do Observatório do Turismo Sustentável do Alentejo

Description: 

The Alentejo Sustainable Tourism Observatory (ASTO) is a structure led by CIDEHUS - University of Évora, that aims to measure and monitor the development of tourism sustainability in Alentejo territory. The goal is to develop a recognized UNTWO Sustainable Tourism Observatory and to generate best practices that will be instrumental in improving evidence-based decision making at the national, regional and local levels, in order to support the development of sustainable tourism and to protect the fragile natural resources that are the basis of tourism development. The obtained funding is for the preliminary empowerment of ASTO. ASTO is integrated in the UNWTO International Network of Sustainable Tourism Observatories (UNWTO-INSTO) since 2018.
