This group develops interdisciplinary research in two main areas, Tourism and Demography, interconnected by issues related to population mobility and its global impacts in the South. It focuses on the assessment of sustainability, social changes, and transformations that arise from migratory flows and cultural diversity.
G3 contributes to the development of a critical analysis of the impacts of Tourism and its effects on the sustainability of rural and small cities, and analyzes the peculiarities of the demographic dynamics of the South.
The group is committed to analyzing the multiple relationships between Tourism and Demography in order to contribute to the sustainable development of southern territories, especially those facing desertification and accentuated aging.
